The RCA connector is named for the Radio Corporation of America, which first used it in the 1940s to connect phonographs to amplifiers. Generally it refers to a cable with three color-coded plugs, which connect to three correspondingly-colored jacks .The colors are usually red and white for right and left audio channels and yellow for composite video.RCA cables provide the possibility of connecting from a stereo source to a stereo output.
